You've just started to build a product but don't know how to take it to market. Learn how to build brand awareness, identify your customer base and develop a pricing strategy.


Who is this for?

Brand new founders! If you haven’t raised any money but are planning to in the near future, or have just started to build a product and are trying to figure out how to sell it, this is for you.

No cost. No conditions. Just commit to working your a** off for a week, and be a good person! <3

Who will I meet?

Welcome to the friendliest founder community you’ll find (we can’t prove it, but we’re sure it’s true). You’ll be connected with a cohort of talented peers, and a group of experts and scaled founders who are here to help you.

What's the time commitment?

Two-ish hours a day. You'll have "homework" to do each day, so also budget in a little time to do that.


Day 1 (10:00 - 12:30)

Meet the Hotbed Team and your cohort. We'll then dive into all the startup basics you’ll need to know. The session ends with a 30 minute Peer-To-Peer session (this is an opt-in on the application form).

Day 2 (10:00 - 11:30)

Today is about pitch preparation. We’ll talk about what investors expect to see in a pitch and how investors will assess your deck. The second part of the session will be about market research and validating any assumptions your working on by speaking with users and potential users.

Day 3 (10:00 - 12:30)

Now it’s time to discuss what should be on your pitch deck, red flags to avoid on your pitch deck and what you can do to stand out. We’ll walk you through what to expect during your raise, and how to create a killer fundraising strategy. The session ends with a 30 minute Peer-To-Peer session.

Day 4 (10:00 - 11:30)

We’ll hear from two founders who have recently been in your shoes, who will share their war stories and secrets that helped them get their first cheques and customers. The second part of the session will be about speaking with users and getting user feedback and pricing.

Day 5 (10:00 - 12:30)

Our final day is for pitch practice, preparing to answer the hard questions investors will ask you and setting up a game plan for future success. he session ends with a 30 minute Peer-To-Peer session.
